Sally has enjoyed a highly successful career based on her legal expertise in the Media sector, to become a recognised dealmaker and strategic advisor to internationally-renowned companies including Walt Disney, Bertelsmann and Michael Eisner’s media ventures, Tornante and Vuguru.

As a newly-qualified barrister, Sally specialised in copyright law, and this led to a roles as Business Development Executive for Channel 4 International, Director at the Association of Independent Producers and Head of Business and Legal Affairs at Granada Film productions.

From Granada, Sally moved to Walt Disney Television International where she worked for 11 years,initially as Director of Business and Legal Affairs, eventually as MD and Head of Sales for the EMEA region. In this role she oversaw a complex fast-growing business, with over 150 staff and sales of more than $600 million.

After leaving Disney, Sally has successfully originated, negotiated and closed numerous Media transactions. She worked with LazyTown Entertainment, from an initial seed-capital raise in the USA, UK and Germany, through to overseeing the sale of the business at a value of $20 million to Turner Broadcasting. She also completed the deals required to launch the global KidsCo television channel, a business valued by NBC Universal at $40 million.

Sally graduated from Queen Mary College, University of London and was called to the Middle Temple Bar in 1992, taking pupillage with the copyright law specialist, Hogarth Chambers. She is the author of the book “The Independent Filmmaker and the Law”.
