Graeme Stanley

Graeme is an experienced TMT operational and general manager with international experience in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Most recently he has advised on a strategic plan involving +300 million in sports rights in the Middle East; restructuring an in-house pay TV operation for an African telecoms operator; developing a new sales niche for a UK based 4th generation wireless carrier, and developing a worldwide channel strategy for a US based pay TV provider.

He began his career in Canada, where he managed cable television systems, moving to the UK in 1995 as Marketing Director for LCL Communications, launching the UK’s first telephony/television bundles targeting Asian consumers. As Director of Consumer Media for Cable and Wireless Communications, he negotiated and closed ground breaking digital carriage and packaging deals to enable the launch of the UK’s first digital cable – telephony service.

At ITV Graeme was General Manager of ITV2, and as Director of Programming for ITV Digital successfully bid for and won £25 – £100m+ a year for Premier League, Champions League and other pay TV sports rights, launching and managing a premium sport channel and closing a multimillion yearly carriage deal with ntl Cable.

Graeme became the Managing Director of Teuve, a pay TV channels producer wholly owned by ONO, the largest cable operator in Spain. He returned the Company to profitability from an annual loss making position, almost trebling revenue to over a four year period through increased sales and ad revenue growth. During his tenure, the company launched two channels to bring its total to nine genre lead services, and moved viewing from 8th to 2nd position in pay TV audience share in Spain. Relationships with Telefónica, Orange and other mobile operators lead the company into mobile content partnerships, as well as providing content and brands for third party SVOD services.

He has sat on various boards at Teuve, ITV, Cable and Wireless Communications (Two Way TV, Mirror TV, Parliamentary Channel) and LCL Communications. He holds a Bachelors Degree from the University of Kings College in Nova Scotia, Canada.
